The global ETF industry reached a historic milestone with assets under management climbing to $18.81 trillion by September 2025, according to ETFGI's latest report. This represents a 26.7% surge from December 2024's $14.85 trillion, underscoring accelerating institutional adoption of passive investment vehicles.
September alone saw $267.66 billion in net inflows, contributing to a record-shattering $1.54 trillion year-to-date. The figures dwarf previous benchmarks, exceeding 2024's full-year inflows by $300 billion. Over twelve months, the industry absorbed $2.18 trillion—equivalent to the GDP of a mid-sized European economy.
